He was born in the city of Buenos Aires on September 6th, 1947.
He attended many courses in his specialty field, featuring the Petroleum Management Certificate Program in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. in 1991.
Between 1975 and 1978, he served as a lawyer at Brons & Salas law firm. In 1979 onwards, he developed his professional activity in Astra Compañía Argentina de Petróleo S.A., where he was appointed Manager of Legal Affairs on Oil & Gas. In the year 2000, as a consequence of the merger of YPF S.A., he was appointed Manager of Oil Affairs and, later on, Manager of E&P Legal Services, for Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia in Repsol YPF. In August 2007, he joined Cassagne Abogados law firm.
He was a member of the Boards and auditing bodies of different companies, including: Astra Compañía Argentina de Petróleo S.A.; Oleoductos del Valle S.A.; Terminal Marítima Patagónica S.A.; Pluspetrol Energy S.A.; Central Dock Sud S.A.; Inversora Dock Sud S.A.; Empresa Petrolera Andina S.A.; Apex Petroleum Inc.; Gas Argentino S.A.; Metrogas S.A.; Petroken Petroquimica Ensenada S.A.; Empresa de Distribución Eléctrica de Entre Ríos S.A.
He served as 2nd Vice-president of the Chamber of Corporations, as President of the Commission of Legal Affairs of the Chamber of Oil Industry, and as President of the San Isidro Golf Club.
In the academic field, he held the following teaching positions: as Assistant Professor of Economic Law I at the School of Economic Sciences (UNBA) (1976-1983), as Assistant Teacher of Tax Law at the School of Law of the Argentine Pontifical Catholic University (1982-1984), as Post-graduate Professor at the Update Course on Oil & Gas Law at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (1995-2006), as Professor of Oil Contracts at the post-graduate studies in Reservoirs at the School of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires (1996-2003), and as Guest Lecturer at the Update Program of Energetic Regulation at the Center of Studies of Energy Regulatory Activities (CEARE).
He is a member of the Association of Lawyers of the City of Buenos Aires, of the American Bar Association, of the Energy Law Association, of the Argentine Institute of Oil & Gas (IAPG), and of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
