Ezequiel Cassagne

Studies

He was born in the city of Buenos Aires on July 14th, 1977.

He attended the St. George's College North, where he completed his high school bilingual studies in 1995.

He graduated as a Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 2002.

He attended  postgraduate studies in Law “III January Courses”, at the University of San Pablo CEU, Madrid, Spain, in 2002.

He also attended two-year specialized studies in Economic Administrative Law at the Argentine Pontifical Catholic University (2003/2004).

Background

As to his professional career, in 1996 he started working at the departments of Human Resources, Legal Affairs, Environment, and Institutional Relations, at Aguas Argentinas S.A. (1996/1999). He worked at the Public Prosecution of the Province of Buenos Aires (2000-2001), and in the García Pullès, Calatrava & Associates law firm, in the city of Buenos Aires.

In 2002, he worked at Cárdenas, Cassagne & Associates law firm, where he specialized in lawsuits and advice on economic and general Administrative Law (2002-2005). In 2005, he joined Cassagne Abogados law firm as Partner.

Teaching and Academic Background in Argentina and abroad:

Since 2005, he has taught Administrative Law (chaired by Esq. Ignacio María de la Riva) at the Argentine Pontifical Catholic University.

Guest lecturer at the post-graduate courses on Administrative Law at the University of Salamanca, Spain, since 2006.

He has taught Public Employment at the post-graduate studies in Administrative Law at the School of Law of the North-East National University, since 2008.

He serves as Director of the Ibero-American Magazine on Administrative Law and Economic Regulation of IJ Editores publishing house.

He serves as Editorial Secretary of the Magazine of Administrative Law (REDA) of the Abeledo-Perrot publishing house, Buenos Aires.

He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Magazine published by the Post-graduate Jacob School, Federal District, Mexico.

At present, he is a member of the Administrative Law Institute of the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences of Buenos Aires; member of the Institute of Regulatory Studies of La Plata; member of the Scientific Committee of the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca in Argentina; founding member of the Brazilian-Argentine Institute of Administrative Law, with headquarters in San Pablo, Brazil; member of the Ibero-American Association of Regulatory Studies (ASIER); and member of the Argentine Association of Law on Constitutional Procedure.

Further, he is a member of the Center for Legislative Studies of the Argentine Federation of Bar Associations (FACA) and of the Commission of Administrative Law of the Association of Lawyers of the City of Buenos Aires.

He was invited to participate as guest lecturer and as moderator in a great number of conferences.
